At Founder’s CPA, we are privileged to work with a wide spectrum of highly impressive clients, such as EyeRate. Welcome to our Featured Founders, where we are highlighting a diverse set of “Founders” who may not fit the stereotypical “Founder” mold set by Silicon Valley, but they all bring a unique solution to their respective markets.

Q) What does your company do?
EyeRate gathers real-time customer feedback to monitor the guest experience and gives cash incentives to employees for positive interactions.
Q) What is your mission?
EyeRate’s mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to income equality
Q) What inspired you to start EyeRate? What is your “why”?
The company’s founding team all grew up together and our early experiences in low-wage service roles had a lasting impact on us. We worked our butts off, but never felt like we received the economic or social recognition that we deserved. Income inequality is one of the biggest issues today and EyeRate wants to level the playing field by empowering employees to make their brands stand out.
Q) What differentiates your company from your competitors?
What makes EyeRate different is that our mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to income equality, so our focus is on the staff and turning them into micro-marketers for their brand. EyeRate gives cash incentives to employees for positive customer interactions as well as for promoting their company online. In doing so, we can increase the income and recognition that employees receive for going above and beyond, while also increasing the business’s productivity and revenue. Getting the team involved with the business’s marketing leads to a MUCH higher level of engagement and unmatched results.
Q) What are some challenges your consumers are facing right now and how does your company help?
A few problems our partners face are:
1. Online reviews don’t always give an accurate representation of a business: Most businesses struggle to get online reviews although they’ve been open for years and have a loyal customer base. EyeRate makes it easier to get online endorsements from customers, while also giving unhappy customers a non-public avenue to communicate directly with the business and management.
2. A business’s revenue is impacted by its online image: The vast majority of consumers won’t use a business if it’s less than 4 stars online and that can have a massive impact on the revenue. EyeRate helps to maintain the business’s online image so it can focus on what it does best, while still getting the publicity needed to help set itself apart from any competition.
3. Marketing is expensive: Most businesses spend 5-9% of their revenue on marketing efforts adding up to tens of thousands of dollars on an annual basis. When word of mouth marketing is the most impactful form there is, EyeRate helps businesses see a greater ROI for their marketing spend by investing in the staff to create a bottom-up approach for increasing exposure.
4. Employee attrition and lack of engagement are expensive: In today’s business environment, attrition is such a common theme that “The Great Resignation” was coined to depict the phenomena. EyeRate can increase the productivity and engagement of current employees through financial and social incentives, while also giving new candidates more reason to apply.
Q) What’s your favorite part about being an entrepreneur?
The best part about being an entrepreneur is the opportunity to solve problems in creative ways, while also making a positive impact on society. Entrepreneurs face endless challenges and constant doubt when taking these new approaches, but the gratification of achieving your goals and seeing the impact you can have is well worth the effort.
